Welcome to
2010, the year of great
opportunity. I know this
message is late so please forgive me. I was wondering just how many New
Year
resolutions have been made and broken by now.
Do you know that God made what He
called in the bible a ‘New Covenant’ with us, Romans 10:8-9. It
says’ the word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart’’
(That is the word of faith that we preach). That if you confess with
your mouth
the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the
dead, you
will be saved. Don’t you think that is a wonderful promise for us to
take
into the New Year? It gives us hope for a secure future in Christ
Jesus; He
died that we might have life in all its fullness that is the saving
grace of
God in action. So now you can tell your friends and families that there
is hope
through Jesus for a perfect future. May you know every blessing of the
Lord in
the coming year. Pastor Peter Eaves.

Skipton Christian Fellowship Church is a
friendly, warm and welcoming church. People of all ages meet together,
each from different backgrounds and ethnic origins, single, married,
divorced or widowed, but united in their belief that the Bible is the
inspired Word of God and that Jesus, God’s Son was the ultimate
sacrifice for our sins.
We love to sing and praise our Lord Jesus because He made us, along
with the church worldwide, His children. He has given the Holy Spirit
to lead and guide us in our daily walk with Him. Our Father God tells
us that He will never leave us nor will He forsake us, what a blessing
that, imperfect as we are, He will be there to help us on our journey
through life.
