November 2008  -  A dedication  service has been held in the finished extension,  with morning communion. The final touches of floor covering and curtains etc. will be completed in the next week or two. We hope that not only the church, but  also the local community will use this room

September 2008  -  The roof is on, windows and door next, then a break through to the main building. Hallelujah! This will mean we will soon fulfil our prayers for us to enable more community outreach and a place for our Fellowship to expand its work. We want to also create a ‘quiet place’ which those needing prayer and a listening ear can use.

August 2008 - After several years of fundraising and collecting within the fellowship, plus a generous grant from the Tarn Moor Estates Trustees, at last the building of the extension of our church is underway. Our Pastor Peter Eaves was there to bless the breaking of the ground. This will mean not only will our Sunday School have better accommodation,  but there will be a room for the use of the local community to hold meetings, classes etc. Such a room is not available in the area at the present time. Also it will mean that meetings of classes by the Skipton U3A will be better served as, at the moment the Patchwork and Quilting group have to use the body of the church, which means moving all the chairs etc. before and after each meeting. We still have to raise the cost of the VAT on the build, however, after much ploughing through the HM Revenue & Customs Notice 708, our hopes of finding the construction would be zero rate were dashed. We are not daunted though, and have decided to go ahead in Faith!
