fears that Hindu extremists are targeting them in advance of a general
election.

1. Pray that the attacks on Christians in Orissa will cease, and that
those forced from their homes will be able to return in safety. Pray
that Hindu extremists will not seek to exploit communal tensions for
political advantage at the cost of lives and property.
2. Pray that the persecution of Christians in other states will be
checked, and that the predicted outbreak of serious violence will not
happen. Pray for the local and national governments and for the police,
that they may strive to maintain good order and may protect Christian
citizens as well as others. |
